Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains what happens to your fees if you need to cancel your instructions or if your circumstances change.

1. Consultation fees

Consultation fees (£35 for a standard consultation) are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place.

If you cancel your consultation appointment:

• More than 48 hours in advance: Full refund
• Between 24 and 48 hours in advance: 50% refund
• Less than 24 hours in advance or no-show: No refund

2. Legal service fees (application work)

Our legal fees cover the work we carry out on your behalf. Once we have begun work, fees are charged in proportion to the work completed. The following applies:

• If you cancel before we have started any work: Full refund of legal fees paid
• If you cancel after work has begun: We will refund the portion of fees corresponding to work not yet carried out. We will provide you with a breakdown of the work completed and any fees retained
• If we have already submitted your application to the Home Office: No refund of legal fees is possible as the work has been completed

We will always tell you what work has been carried out before deducting any fees.

3. Home Office fees

Home Office application fees are paid directly to the Home Office and are outside of our control. These fees are generally non-refundable once an application has been submitted, regardless of the outcome.

If you cancel before we submit your application, Home Office fees that have not yet been paid are obviously not charged. If fees have already been paid to the Home Office, you would need to contact UKVI directly to ask about any refund — we cannot issue refunds on the Home Office’s behalf.

4. Cancellation by us

In rare circumstances, we may need to stop acting for you — for example, if a conflict of interest arises or if we are required by law or regulation to do so. If this happens, we will refund any fees paid for work not yet carried out and give you sufficient notice to make alternative arrangements.

5. How to cancel

Cancellations are effective from the date we receive your written notice.

6. Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 working days by bank transfer to the account from which payment was made.

7. Consumer cancellation rights

If you instructed us remotely (for example, by email, phone, or online) and have not yet received any legal advice, you may have a right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you exercise this right, we will refund any fees paid in full within 14 days. However, if you asked us to begin work immediately, we may retain a proportionate amount of the fee reflecting the work already done.
